quit screen under Debian or Linux / kill sreen session

I will gladly show you how you can easily end a started screen session again.

First, we display all sessions with this command:

screen -ls

Followed by

screen -XS NUMBER quit

quit the corresponding screen session. “NUMBER” must, of course, be replaced by the number of the session you want to end.

Alternatively, you can use

screen -r NUMBER

Recapture the old session and start it with

STRG + A + D

exit the window again (without closing it)
